Endurance Relay - Marno Nieman - 10-11 May 2013

Venwood & Baker Electrical CC once again supported a good cause and took part in the endurance relay for Marno Nieman. Marno is 12 years old and a learner of Laerskool Rustenburg. He is a sport fanatic and loves rugby and hockey. This year, Marno was diagnosed with colon cancer and his life changed dramatically. We participated in the relay once again to show our support towards Marno and his family.

He is a fighter and an inspiration to every single person. Venwood & Baker Electrical CC is proud to say that we were part of a life changing relay!

Endurance Relay fundraising event for Ruan Erasmus

The endurance relay took place on the 11th May and ended on the 12th May 2012. It was a 24hour event which was divided into shifts of 5km each.

The whole idea was to raise enough funds for Ruan's hip replacement, to enable him to play cricket as he did before.

Venwood & Baker Electrical CC was one of the sponsors, which made it possible for Ruan to receive the hip replacement operation.

The operation took place on the 20th of June, and we were personally informed by his mother that it has been a huge success.

Frequently asked question and answer:
Can a unit of blood save more than one life?
Blood is composed of several different elements, namely red cells, plasma and platelets, each of which fulfils a particular function. These can be used for specific purposes so that each unit of blood can be used for more than one patient.

Casual Day 2012

"Venwood & Baker Electrical decided to do something different for Casual day this year. We decided we wanted to make a change in the lives of those who cannot speak for themselves, and even got our suppliers involved to donate cat food, dog food, blankets, paint, stationary, etc. We challenge all the companies and individuals to get involved and show their support."
